Officer Responsibilities

​

President

1.     Preside over meetings according to accepted rules of parliamentary procedure.
2.     Appoint committees and serve on them.
3.     Coordinate the activities of the chapter. 
4.     Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions.

​

Vice President

1.     Assume all duties of the president if necessary.
2.     Coordinate all committee work.
3.     Work closely with the president and advisor to assess progress toward meeting chapter goals.
4.     Work closely with the president to assess progress toward meeting chapter goals.
5.     Keep the FFA Billboard up to date

​

Secretary

1.     Prepare the agenda for each chapter meeting.
2.     Prepare and present the minutes of each chapter meeting.
3.     Be responsible for chapter correspondence.
4.     Have on hand for each meeting:
        a.     Official FFA Chapter Secretary's Book including minutes of the previous meeting.
        b.     Copy of the all standing and special committees.
        c.     Copies of the chapter constitution and bylaws

 

Tresurer

1.    Assist Mr. Knutson in receiving, recording, and depositing all FFA funds and reimbursements 

2.    Present monthly treasurer's reports at chapter meetings

3.    Collect all membership dues.

4.    Maintain a Chapter Financial Report book or file.

Reporter

1.     Plan newspaper articles and make use of other opportunities to tell the FFA story.
2.     Maintain the Chapter website.

3.     Release news and information to media.
4.     Prepare and maintain a chapter scrapbook.

5.     Maintain member attendance and activity records.
6.     Serve as the chapter photographer.

Sentinel

1.     Assist the president in maintaining order.
2.     Keep the meeting room, chapter equipment and supplies in proper condition.
3.     Welcome guests and visitors.
4.     Keep the meeting room comfortable.
5.     Assist with special features and refreshments

​

Student Advisor

1, Assist Mr. Knutson in the following

       a.     Supervise chapter activities year-round.
       b.     Inform prospective students and parents about the FFA.
       c.     Build school and community support for the program.
       d.     Encourage involvement of all chapter members in activities.
       e.     Prepare students for involvement in contests and leadership programs.

​

Paliamentarian
1.     Be proficient with parliamentary procedure.
2.     Rule on all questions of parliamentary conduct at chapter meetings.

 

Historian
1.     Assist the reporter in providing photography for chapter needs as well as assisting with the                     scrapbook.

 

Chaplin

1.     Present the invocation at banquets and other functions.
